We are on the road to change

On September 20-28, 2019, the annual Chinese trekking project for rare patients began, Suzhou-Jiaxing-Hangzhou, with a total distance of 281 kilometers.
This is the path taken by a group of rare patients on foot.
Now in China, there are still many people, even many hospitals who do not understand rare diseases, let alone understand rare patients.
We have to speak for ourselves. Not only is the rare disease popularized in each hospital passing by on the way, but also all passers-by see us who are the most real—one ordinary person, who just happens to have the rare disease.
Rarely China DAY1

On the morning of September 20th, the little friends did a group training before the hotel walk: everyone worked out the matters needing attention and rules for the walk together; the rare patients who participated in this activity made their own introductions about the disease and the rare disease Popular science studies; partners conducted "Me too" anti-sexual harassment sharing and proper use of wheelchairs.
In the afternoon, you can see a group of scarecrows wearing straw hats holding brochures of rare diseases and walking around in the cement forest.
Suzhou garden pull training
This year, there are many wheelchair users. It is a test of the barrier-free environment in Suzhou. Passers-by saw the "Hiking China" brand and wheelchairs, and they greeted rare travellers with a curious attitude, and an uncle chased the scan code to understand donations ~
Rare Chinese Day2

After walking 29km in the rain, the rare walkers went to the First Medical Hospital of Suzhou and the Suzhou Municipal Hospital to go to the relevant departments to popularize the gonad development disorders such as Kalman syndrome, osteogenesis imperfecta and multiple sclerosis. The doctors listened to our explanation very warmly.
Rare Chinese Day3
Still moving forward in the rain. On the way, I encountered an ascetic monk who walked to Sanya; the hungry and scarce walkers finished their lunch in the wind and rain; arrived at Wujiang District Hospital in the afternoon; a scientific popular rare disease; a wheelchair partner did not find an accessible bathroom; they finally encountered a warm Uncle Xin Baoan sent us hot water.
You donate 1 yuan, 1km walk on the rare walker
You donate 1 yuan, and the rare walker walks 1 kilometer to the hospital along the way to popularize rare diseases.
We hope that through such actions, the public will be made aware of rare diseases and reduce the rare vision that rare patients suffer in school, employment and life.
This year is the sixth year of our trekking. The route for this trek is Suzhou-Hangzhou, which lasted 8 days and totaled about 280 kilometers. After the walk, we will let the public see real and rare patients through photography exhibitions, documentary tours, and hospital science activities.
The world is beautiful because of its diversity, and everyone is different. Maybe at some point you will become a "minority", but "minority" is not a reason to be marginalized. Everyone can be the most authentic and unique person!
We believe that every life deserves to be respected and should be treated equally by society!
